Warranty Policy
Warranty Policy
The warranty of Global Iraq Computer Technologies — coverage periods, what is covered and what is not, and the conditions you need to meet. Open any section below for its full terms.
Keeping the original purchase invoice is a fundamental requirement across every category without exception. Without it the warranty is void, and there is no way to prove the purchase date or the coverage period.

All periods start from the sales invoice date issued by us. “Agency” means the maintenance period and the final technical decision are set by the brand’s official agency, not by us. “Us, then the agency” means the replacement decision is made at our own service centre during the replacement window, after which the case passes to the agency for the maintenance period.
Replacement warranty vs maintenance warranty
Each type has a different party responsible for the final technical decision. Knowing which one applies to your product determines how your case is handled and how long it takes.
1. Replacement warranty
Decided at our own service centreIf the product is within the replacement warranty period and meets its conditions, it is inspected at the Global Iraq Computer Technologies service centre, and the centre is responsible for:
- Diagnosing the case technically.
- Determining whether the fault is covered by the replacement warranty.
- Making the replacement decision under the terms of this policy.
2. Maintenance warranty
Decided by the guaranteeing partyIf the replacement warranty period has ended while the product is still within the maintenance warranty period, the case is referred where necessary to the agency, the authorised distributor, or the service centre authorised by the manufacturer. That party is then responsible for:
- The final technical inspection.
- Determining whether the product can be repaired.
- Setting the maintenance duration.
- Making the final technical decision.
In such cases our role is limited to receiving the product, referring it to the competent party, and following up on the case. We have no authority to impose a decision on that party or to alter the durations it sets.
How a warranty case is handled — and how long it takes
The timeframes below reflect how the process actually runs. They are not promises of durations we cannot control.
Receiving the product
The product is received at our service centre together with the original purchase invoice and logged into the case register.
Initial inspection and diagnosis
Initial inspection and diagnosis at the Global Iraq Computer Technologies service centre normally takes between 3 and 14 working days, depending on the centre’s workload, the number of cases in progress, and the nature and complexity of the fault.
This timeframe covers inspection and diagnosis only, and does not necessarily represent the full time needed to complete the warranty case.
Processing
If the case falls under the replacement warranty: the decision is made at our service centre, and replacement takes place no sooner than one week and no later than one month from the inspection date.
If the case must be referred to the agency, the authorised distributor, or the service centre authorised by the manufacturer: the expected time to complete the case is normally between 1 and 3 months.
The timeframe in the second case is indicative and is not a binding commitment. It may extend in exceptional cases or circumstances of force majeure, including but not limited to: shipping or transport delays, agency or manufacturer procedures, unavailability of spare parts, delayed replacement from the source, logistical or customs conditions, or any other circumstance outside the control of Global Iraq Computer Technologies. We accept no liability for delays arising from any of these causes.
If the product cannot be repaired
If the guaranteeing party or the authorised service centre determines that the product cannot be repaired while it is still within the warranty period, the final action is replacement of the product in accordance with that party’s policy. We do not issue refunds; settlement is by repair or replacement only.
Where the case falls under the warranty of the agency or the authorised service centre, the decision on repair, non-repairability, or replacement rests exclusively with that party. Global Iraq Computer Technologies does not make that decision unilaterally.
Rules that apply to every category
These conditions are shared across all product categories and are not repeated in each article.
Definitions
The terms used in the articles below are interpreted according to the following definitions.
Misuse
Misuse means any act or event that causes damage to the product which does not arise from a manufacturing defect, including but not limited to:
- Breakage.
- Impact or shock.
- Signs of external burning.
- Exposure of the product to liquids.
- Exposure of the product to moisture to a degree that causes damage.
- Any physical modification to the product.
- Opening, servicing, or modifying the product by an unauthorised party, where that intervention is related to the fault or damage.
- Using a voltage or power rating that does not match the product’s specifications.
- Damage to ports or connectors caused by pressure, pulling, breakage, or any mechanical force.
These cases are not manufacturing defects and are not covered by the warranty once it is technically established that the damage arose from them.
Damage caused by external electrical factors
The warranty does not cover damage to the product caused by external electrical factors, including but not limited to:
- An unstable external power source.
- Over-voltage.
- Under-voltage.
- Lightning or sudden electrical surges.
- Incorrect electrical connections.
- Use of a power supply unit unsuitable for the product.
- Use of a power source, voltage, or power rating that does not match the product’s specifications.
This exclusion is limited to damage arising from external electrical sources or factors. It does not extend to internal manufacturing faults in the product, which remain covered under the terms of the warranty.
